Student International Housing (SIH) has been providing International Students, Interns, Vacationers, Business people and others locate the most friendly and loving families at the right location to make their stay in the United States more memorable through the available home-stay program. We understand that home-stay program is the most important part of your stay while living in Los Angeles or anywhere in the United States that we service. The home-stay program is for those who are serious about learning English quickly. You will be living in a comfortable home with the friendliest and loving families that are ready to share their homes and culture with you. This experience will allow you to participate in the American way of life including food, family activities, culture and personal relationship. Your privacy and culture is always respected. We carefully screen each host family prior to placing them in our host family list. We evaluate every host families that participate in our host family program to ensure that our high standards are met. S.I.H. and host families always assist you with information such as, transportation, maps, events, discount fares and tourist attractions.

Our host families are personally screened and interviewed in their homes and selected on the basis of ability to provide a secured and a memorable home away from home experience prior to being accepted to the program.  We would match the students and the host family according to their requests and personalities. The screening process for new host families is rigorous.  We have more than 500 in our "NETWORK" they are in variety of ages, ethnic backgrounds, doctors, teachers, nurses, lawyers, accountants, entertainment, business owners, engineers etc., which represents the diversity of United States, families with children, couples without children, single adults, single parents, and retired people.  The home-stay is a month to month agreement with an option to extend longer if both the student and the host family are in agreement.  If the student/ intern wishes to leave, a 30 days notice must be submitted to the host family.  The host families may have more than one international student living with them, however, the student will have a choice if they want to live with another student in the home-stay or the same nationality but will always be guaranteed a private bedroom.
